Q What are these Data Discs, I don't understand how they are different to
ordinary music CDs
A An ordinary
Audio CD can be played usually on any player: CD player, DVD player, Portable CD
Player, Hi Fi CD Player & car players. These CDs usually
contain a maximum of 80 minutes of Music
or if you prefer about 30 old pop songs maybe 20 current pop
songs.
These CDs are very restrictive as to how much they will hold.
The audio files are called .cda
A
Data disc contains Data as the name suggests, ok what is data...
Data can be a file with suffix mp3, mp4, ogg, acc, jpeg,
document file .doc or data from
Spreadsheets etc etc etc.
So if you have mp3s you can fit about 300 songs on a standard CD or up to 2000
on a DVD.
These Data Discs are for all intents & purposes "Hard Drives" i.e. Storage
Devices.

details of tracks is very restricted. Most Data CDs can be
played on modern DVD players.
Data CDs can be played on Computers.
Car CD players if they are MP3 compliant.
Walkman style CD players if they are MP3 compliant.

A Can I transfer files from these Data Cds - DVDs to my Hard Drive &
make up music cds or mp3 cds I can play in my new mp3 car
player.
A Just
remember that a Data Disc is exactly the same as a Hard Drive.
You can COPY any number of files from the CD / DVD &
Paste to your Hard Drive. Once they are there you can treat
them just the same as any hard drive file.
I hope these Q & A
